Stefano Volterrani

Stefano Volterrani is EVP, Integrated Geoscience and Board Member at Brightskies Geoscience (BSG).
Prior to joining BSG in 2020, Stefano has worked in global oil and gas seismic reservoir characterization with EnTec, WesternGeco, Schlumberger and, most recently, ION where he was Vice President and Manager of the Reservoir Characterization Group.
Mr. Volterrani received his University degree in Geology from the University of Pisa in Italy. Stefano experience includes innovative product development and solution provision with emphasis on integrated technologies covering the entire E&P cycle for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
Mr. Volterrani has been a developer of 'seismic-well' integration technologies for seismic processing parameter optimization, and of the design and commercialization of seismic inversion and time-lapse software workflows. In his most recent assignment Mr. Volterrani has lead an integrated team of professionals with a wide range of experience including surface seismic, inversion, rock physics, geo-mechanics and engineering, engaged in developing strategic technologies that aimed at exploiting the integration of 3D seismic into static, dynamic and mechanical earth models to drive drilling operations, well placement and hazard prediction as well as real-time (while-drilling) seismic model up-dates.
